A Shura committee has been formed to reorganize the operating structure of Masjid Al-Islam while searching for a new Imam. Several subcommittees have also been formed to facilitate this transition.

Family Committee:
Goal: To create a community that fosters family stability through Islamic values, education and social activities.
Objectives:
1. Designate a recreational facility for our Muslim youth and their families
2. Establish a full – time Islamic school K – 5

Youth Committee:
Goal: To increase youth development and leadership through participation.
Objectives:
1. Monthly fundraisers
2. Workshop series on career development, grant writing and community activisim
3. Youth Conference

Community Committee:
Goal: To establish a dawah (outreach) programs that will involve Masjid Al Islam and the surrounding neighborhood and community, and to increase the awareness of Islam and the existence of Masjid Al Islam by having educational and social activities throughout the year.
Objectives:
1. Organize and provide neighborhood cleanup
2. After School Program
3. Food Fair
4. Community awareness day
5. Food pantry
6. Clothes pantry
7. Library program

Brotherhood Committee:
Responsible for social activities designed specifically for men.

Sisterhood Committee:
Responsible for social activities designed specifically for women.
